Guess who is coming back in March

Melody is also the co-founder and director of a small, fair trade non-profit called Soul of Somanya. This organization offers paid training in jewelry-making skills, and then ongoing, steady employment at a living wage, to at-risk young adults in the Krobo region of Ghana, where wonderful, hand-painted recycled-glass beads are a traditional art form. The jobs keep these young people from ending up on the streets. Since they are paid well over two times Ghana's minimum wage, they are able to support their families better than before and still save money to invest in education, usually high school, which is not public school in Ghana. Soul of Somanya also buys beads at full retail price from various beadmakers in the region for resale in the U.S. and around the world. This allows them to skip the middleman and thereby helps to raise their standard of living as well. Melody will also be bringing in a Soul of Somanya trunk show so you can buy additional beads and support this wonderful cause! Check out their website: www.soulofsomanya.net
