Pendant Wrapping

In this class you will l earn a traditional technique for wrapping cabachons to make an elegant and classy pendant. Some experience with wire is recommended.

Playing it Cool Pendant

Nothing screams cool sophistication like a beautiful pendant made with crystals, Super Duos and seed beads. This pendant can be sweet and sexy or very subtle depending on what you are in the mood for.

Butterfly's Tear Pendant

Saturday February 29th, 2-5pm

Class Fee: $40 (Shibori silk can be purchased through the instructor. Not included in class price)

Level: Beginner

 

An introduction to Shibori silk and soutache. This is a great class for beginners to learn both the basic elements of soutache and creating beautiful waves using Shibori silk. This pendant looks complicated but is broken down into simple instructions.

Multi-Wrap Macrame

Saturdy March 7th, 10:30-1:30 pm

Remember Macramé? Well it is back! This multi-wrap bracelet is so much fun to make! It is composed using 3.4 drop beads, 6/0 seed beads, leather, S-Lon, and a button. Other miscellaneous beads and charms are optional.

Rosary Class

Saturday March 7th, 2:30 - 4 pm

Level: Beginner

 

In this class you will learn to construct a rosary or make a beaded chain that can be used as a necklace or multi-wrapped bracelet. I love using semi-precious stones to create both, but you can use any bead you like, including Swarovski crystals & pearls, Czech glass, etc. You will need a One Step Looper tool for this class, which is available at our store.

Knotting Class

Sunday March 8th, 10 - 1pm

Class Fee: $35

Instructor: Romy Jalate

Level: Beginner

 

This is a classic pearl style knotting class.  You'll learn about using French wire to make your projects look professional. We make this class easy by using fine-tipped tweezers!

Good Luck Dolls & Sidekicks

Thursday March 12th, 10-1pm

For wild women only, this is Mel's favorite class to teach. Lots of giggling happens in this class as you learn to make “good ju-ju” dolls that hold infinite possibilities for colors...and coiffures. Then go on to create a fanciful animal sidekick: a horse, zebra, giraffe, sheep, dog—or some whole new species of animal! Let your imagination go wild!

A unique yet quick and easy way to attractively bezel cabochons without the need for soldering or torches. Make a pendant and begin a beaded chain or make a pair of earrings with long, graceful hooks.

Learn a quick and easy bezeling technique and the go on to embellish your bezeled stone with lavish bands of color for a completely unique effect.

Learn to make delicate twisted wire floral filigrees and attach them to sturdy frames that you make yourself. Choose the project you like best to work on in class. By the time you leave you'll have the skills and know-how to create both!

Circle Of Life Earrings

Saturday March 28th, 11-1pm

Class Fee: $25

Instructor: Michele Lane

Level: Beginner

 

Circle of Life Earrings can be as earthy or glamorous as you like. Use Picasso seed beads for a Bohemian look, or use silver lined beads for a sparkly look. We will be using brick stitch on Tierra cast hammered rings. This is a fun project and it's great way to use lots of extra seed beads you have around the house!

Beadwork & Metal: Meet in the Middle

Friday, Saturday and Sunday May 1st - 3rd 10-4:30pm

Materials Fee: $140.00

 

In this workshop we will explore techniques that lend themselves to a variety of box shapes. Using seed beads and Delica beads, fine patina copper sheet, CZ's and pearls, tiny cup-chain, specialty findings along with embellishing and finishing materials, students will create their own souvenir box. Once the box body is underway, we will work on options for embellishing. This portion of the workshop will be really exciting, as there will be lots of samples to look at and plenty of materials to work with to create a one-of-a-kind souvenir box.
